Surface Modeling in GIS

With the cooperation of the USDI's Bureau of Land Management, the DOE's Los Alamos National Laboratory, and Penn State University a high-resolution digital elevation model (DEM) was constructed for Walnut Gulch. Elevation was sampled on a 40m grid, which allowed for a high degree of accuracy and precision in the construction of the surface model.
